Onboarding Site Component Library

The onboarding site will be sent to any offered candidate. The candidate will be able to perform vital tasks and read key company information before their first day.

Base Components

The before you start section is the most functional area of your onboarding site. This section pulls in dynamic information on a client basis which allows you to provide them more personal information regarding their start date and first day information. This allows you to present the user with a start date, location along with who they're meeting. We provide you a base template of information which you can use but you can add more specific information should you wish to do so. While the content in these sections are fairly static you can choose to alter the order they are presented should you wish to.

As this area is the most dynamic of the site the customisation options are fairly limited. We will make use of your primary brand colour by default and pair it up with a neutral colour which contrasts it best. This is to ensure the user has the best experience and can access the information as easy as possible.

The Actions to Complete section is found at the top of your before you start page by default. This order can be changed but we have found that this section usually contains the most important information for the user as well as allowing them to provide you information. The design of the tasks aims to reflect the importance of the information they are presenting to the user. The tasks are presented clearly to the user and are accompanied by a bold 'Perform Task' button sporting your primary brand colour by default.

The Actions to Complete section is one of the dynamic areas of your onboarding site which will pull through different information for each user. This limits how customisable the section can be. The colour of the 'Perform Task' buttons can be altered to reflect your secondary brand colour if you wish but any changes to the structure or wording of the section is not possible.

The document section allows you to provide the user with important documents relating to their new job. These documents will be pulled into a users onboarding site which allows them to be unique to the user. This way you can provide them with documents that are specific to their role along with general documents which all members of your company have access to.

The First Day Details section of your onboarding site provides the user with any further dynamic information which doesn't fall into the other two sections on the page, Actions to Complete or Documents to Read. The section will provide the user with information regarding when their first day is, where their first day is and who they'll meet on that day. This content will be dynamically pulled in for each user which allows it to be personalised for them. Due to this being a dynamic area of the site there are limited options to style this section. Your primary brand colour will be applied to the section by default but this can be switched out for your secondary colour if required.

The content within the three blocks can be customised to allow you to present specific information to your users. We find that the most useful information for this section falls into three categories when, where and who. This is why the three sections are set to My First Day, Location and Who you'll meet by default. You can specify the use of merge fields [%_%] which dynamically pull in information which is unique to each user, such as the date and time of their first day.
